Starshooters are a cunning, arrogant race, looking down on their former dragonkin with self-righteous contempt. Long ago they abandoned the traditions of their ancestors, evolving past their need for life gems, shedding their horns, and developing a separate language all their own. Without true life gems they do not possess magic, and do not risk dying without their gems. Because of this, they are the only StarDragons who's eyes and gems aren't required to match color. Without magic their power has waned, but they compensate with advanced technology made by hunting down other StarDragons and harvesting their gems and magic, using it as they see fit. Starshooters as a society are small in number, but are a formidible threat. Deeply militaristic and proud, every Starshooter is required to complete bootcamp from the age of 16 to the age of 18, with the goal of having the entire population able to protect themselves and form militia. As such, military grade enhancement gear is readily available, including runic bands to boost strength or levitation, and military 'spurs' which are little wing shaped magic items placed at the ankles, allowing for increased speed and minor levitation. Many Starshooters consider believing in 'gods' to be primitive and hold an atheistic worldview. There are those however who choose the path of the zealot, and are cultists blessed by the scorned god Basut. Their proficiency include -Also being short -Yikes Colonialism[tm] -Magical weaponry -Not hearing -What? - Large perked smooth pointed ears with orb-like gems at the base. They have long thin tails with four strong yet flexible tail plates. Tiny kitten toes. At the very tip of their tail they have a ring of floating jagged gems called tail shards. Dimorphism in Shooters is small. The females have standardly slender arms with five fingers. While males have larger stocky forearms like their Stareater relatives, with four large fingers. They may also posses a spoke that protrudes from the elbow. Female Starshooters do not follow the tradition of wearing flowers in their hair.
