An underground society of secret weavers, Shadow Weavers were originally a group of elite assassins for the Emporer until the Emporer's wishes began to clash with what had become a holy purpose to the clan, leading to their separation from the Emporer and from the surface as a whole, retreating deeper into the underground and becoming a wholly separate subspecies over time. They've remained underground, separate from the rest of the world and becoming more and more self-contained as the years passed, leading to them being very xenophobic and dismissive of interaction with other StarDragons outside of their clans. - Adapted to life underground, their horns tend to swoop back instead of up to help move through the caves, their ears also tend to be bare and taper at the tips though it is not uncommon to grow long inner ear fur that drapes down the shoulders. The most drastic differnce lies in their cloud tails which billow and drape in jagged curls, appearing 'heavy' like a dense smog that drags along the ground in their wake. Male's whiskers grow upwards from their foreheads to aid with navigating the low caves. Shadow weavers have an affinity and mastery of shadow magic, illusions and poisons, important for their continued focus on assassination. As there are no flowers underground, shadow starweaver couples will journey to the surface to find a flower together, to keep and maintain together. As flowers are rare to non-existent underground, the couple will often choose a favourite of whatever they are able to find, flower, weed, whatever they think is the nicest looking one.
